Hello There!
I'm Adam, and I'm thrilled to share my passion for travel with you.
My parents met in Berlin, Germany. They returned to the USA in 1983 just long enough for me to be born at a small Army hospital in Kansas, where my grandparents waited excitedly in the lobby. It was only a few months later before my folks bundled me up and we headed back across the pond, where I was raised.
My early memories are of the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. I was skiing the Zugspitze in kindergarten, and got my first taste for competition when I won a 1st place medal in downhill slalom. At the end of first grade we moved to the idyllic countryside of Yorkshire, England - where the majority of my childhood memories were formed. I still remember the awe and disbelief of Dad reading us “Robin Hood” and then driving us to the real Sherwood Forest, or kicking around rocks in the spooky ruins of Fountains Abbey, or my whole family crying with laughter when my older sister’s umbrella went full inside out from the sideways rain and whipping winds at Eilean Donan Castle.
Some of my fondest travel memories involve traversing Europe with my family in Dad’s prized Volkswagen camper van, lovingly named H.O.W.I.E. (Home On Wheels In Europe). We explored majestic castles across the British Isles, learned to appreciate masterpieces of art in French museums, savored ice cold gelato on unbearably hot Italian beaches, and one Summer even crossed the strait of Gibraltar for aromatic red tea and vibrant bazaars in Morocco. These childhood adventures ignited a lifelong passion for world travel that's only intensified over the years.
Once I was out on my own, that ever present thrum of wanderlust led me to backpack solo across Europe, spend a Semester Abroad living in Florence, celebrate a magical snow packed Christmas with my Mum in Japan, and embark on transformative journeys through South America and Africa as I learned more and more about sustainable travel. Each expedition taught me profound lessons about the world and myself.
I witnessed both the stunning beauty and harsh realities of different cultures. I saw how tourism could either uplift communities or exploit them. I experienced the raw power of nature in its purest form and observed the detrimental effects of human encroachment & technology. These contrasts made me realize that travel isn't just about seeing new places; it's about understanding our role in the global community and the impact we can have.
This realization was the catalyst for a significant life change. After two decades rising to senior management in the fast-paced, high stress world of tech and finance, I found myself yearning for more meaningful pursuits. This epiphany led me to transition from my corporate career to become a luxury travel advisor, allowing me to align my profession with my deepest passions.
What truly excites me now is the concept of luxury travel as a force for good. I believe we can explore the world in ways that are both indulgent for us and beneficial for the places we visit. Whether it's lounging at an eco-luxe resort, eating at Michelin-starred restaurants that incorporate local food conservation, or forging genuine connections with people from different cultures on VIP-access only tours, travel has the power to broaden our perspectives and make a positive impact.
Over the years, I've cultivated relationships with remarkable friends around the world – from sustainable luxury hoteliers to expert local guides who are passionate about their communities. These connections allow me to curate unique experiences that transcend the typical tourist trail.
My goal is to expertly guide you in creating journeys that align with your values and desires. Whether you're dreaming of a private wildlife safari in Botswana, a bespoke culinary adventure in Provence, or an exclusive cultural immersion in Kyoto, I'm here to share my expertise and work with you to plan a trip that's posh and purposeful.
I believe that the most exquisite travel experiences stem from a place of curiosity, respect, and a desire to connect. If this philosophy resonates with you, I'd be delighted to discuss your travel aspirations and how we can bring them to life in the most elegant and meaningful way possible.
I look forward to exploring the world's wonders together!
